Community Supported Agriculture
Chris and Eve Kaplan-Walbrecht founded Garden of Eve organic farm in 2001, dedicated to providing delicious organic vegetables, fruits and beautiful flowers and to “making changes in the world by living them.” Their signature program, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) allows people to purchase advanced shares of fresh fruits and vegetables from each season’s harvest. It’s a great way to eat healthier, avoid toxic chemicals, and support a local farm you can visit.
Trinity Lutheran Church is proud to partner with CSA to provide a warm and welcoming Upper West Side location to distribute Garden of Eve’s seasonal harvest. On Saturdays from late May until Thanksgiving, paying members of CSA will receive weekly shares of seasonal produce grown and harvested at peak freshness. Each share includes a rotating selection of 7–9 items—approximately 5 to 15 pounds—of organic vegetables. Members can add on fruits, eggs, and flowers. Garden of Eve Organic Farm has been serving New York City communities for more than two decades, growing a wide variety of produce using environmentally responsible practices that promote soil health and biodiversity.
